How I Work

A straightforward process from problem to solution.

OOOLI started as just an online handle. Then it became a backronym. Now it's how I work.

O

Outline — Define the real problem

Before jumping to solutions, we figure out what's actually causing friction. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes the thing you think is the problem is really a symptom of something else. A short conversation usually gets us to the root of it.

O

Observe — Understand what data exists

What data do you already have? Where does it live? What's being tracked manually that could be captured automatically? This step is about taking stock — seeing what's available and what gaps exist.

O

Opportunities — Spot where to be smart

Once we know what data exists, we can spot where to be smart with it. Where are people doing repetitive work that software could handle? What decisions could be informed by data that's currently sitting unused? This is where the shape of a solution starts to form.

L

Leverage — Turn insights into a focused plan

Now we take what we've learned and shape it into something actionable. We pick the highest-impact opportunity — something small enough to ship quickly, but useful enough to make a real difference. Clear scope, clear deliverable.

I

Implement — Build, deliver, refine

I build the tool, you use it, and we see how it holds up in the real world. If something needs adjusting, we adjust it. The goal is a tool that actually gets used — not something that sits on a shelf.
