The story behind OOOLI Technologies.
Online, I've always gone by Oooli.
Pronounced oo-lee. Easy to remember: triple O, L, I.
I didn't set out to start a software company. It started with a favor for a friend.
They were running a small business and drowning in manual processes. The solutions they'd found were too generic for what they actually needed.
So I built something small. A simple tool that did one thing well. It worked, they used it, and that was that.
After that, I started noticing the same issue everywhere. Small businesses trying to make enterprise software work for them. Platforms built for companies with dedicated IT teams being shoehorned into five-person operations.
Most of these tools are a mile wide and an inch deep. They do a lot of things, but none of them quite the way you need. So you end up adapting your workflow to the software instead of the other way around.
I build small, focused tools for small businesses. Nothing fancy — just software that fits how you already work instead of forcing you into someone else's idea of a process.
I keep the scope narrow on purpose. Fewer features, fewer surprises, fewer things to go wrong.
The name started as just an online handle. Somewhere along the way, it became a framework: Outline the problem, Observe the data, find the Opportunities, Leverage those insights, and Implement a solution. It's how I approach every project.
